We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Technical Design Authority (TDA) to lead the design, governance, and assurance of secure enterprise networking solutions within a complex and highly regulated environment. This is a senior technical position requiring a strong blend of architecture, design authority, and hands‑on technical expertise across modern network infrastructure and security technologies, with particular focus on Aruba networking solutions and enterprise security architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Technical Design Authority for network and security projects.
  • Own and govern end‑to‑end network solution designs, ensuring alignment with business, security, and operational requirements.
  • Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural assurance across programmes and projects.
  • Produce and approve High‑Level Designs (HLDs), Low‑Level Designs (LLDs), and technical standards.
  • Define secure network architectures for campus, data centre, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering, delivery, and operational teams.
  • Ensure solutions comply with government, regulatory, and organisational security requirements.
  • Support technical bid responses, solution development, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Active SC Clearance.
  • Significant experience operating as a Technical Design Authority, Network Architect, or Senior Network Consultant.
  • Expert knowledge of Aruba networking technologies, including:
    • Aruba CX Switching
    • Aruba Wireless LAN (WLAN)
    • Aruba ClearPass
    • Aruba Central Network Access Control (NAC)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise network design principles including:
    • LAN/WAN
    • SD‑WAN
    • Routing & Switching
    • High Availability and Resilience
    • Network Segmentation
    • Data Centre Networking
  • Deep knowledge of network security architecture, including:
    • Zero Trust principles
    • Firewalls
    • IDS/IPS
    • Secure Remote Access
    • Network Access Control
    • Micro‑segmentation
    • Security Monitoring and Logging
  • Experience with security frameworks and accreditation processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and technical governance experience.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within Central Government, Defence, Critical National Infrastructure, or other secure environments.
  • Industry certifications such as:
    • Aruba Certified Design Expert (ACDX)
    • Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX)
