This role is suited to an experienced electronics hardware engineer who wants to work on technically complex, safety-critical products within a highly experienced engineering team. The focus is firmly on hardware digital and/or analogue electronics rather than software-heavy profiles. You will play a key role in delivering robust designs, contributing to technical decisions, and supporting the development of less experienced engineers. The level (Senior or Principal) will be aligned to your experience, with scope to shape the role accordingly.
What you will be doing:
- Delivering electronic hardware designs from concept through to delivery.
- Contributing to requirements capture, design, analysis and validation activities.
- Working closely with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
- Applying sound engineering judgement to balance performance, cost and schedule.
- Producing high-quality design documentation in line with industry standards.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team.
What we are looking for:
- Solid experience in digital and/or analogue electronics design.
- Exposure to full product development lifecycles, ideally in regulated or safety-related environments.
- A practical, detail-focused engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working within structured engineering frameworks.
- Degree or equivalent experience in electronics or a closely related discipline.
Experience with specific tools is useful, but transferable skills from comparable environments are absolutely welcomed.
Why apply?
- Work on technically challenging products where engineering quality genuinely matters.
- Join a highly experienced, collaborative hardware engineering team.
- Clear differentiation between Senior and Principal level, with progression available.
- Excellent benefits package, alongside competitive salary and long-term stability.
- A role that values engineering judgement, not just process.
Existing security clearance is beneficial, but candidates able to start without it and progress through clearance are encouraged to apply.
