Pearson Whiffin Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Wax Assembly Factory Operative to join a busy and established manufacturing environment based in Rochester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products. You will be joining a skilled production team where attention to detail, accuracy and a strong approach to health and safety are essential.
The Role:
- Working within the Wax Assembly department, you will be responsible for assembling wax runner systems ready for the next stage of the manufacturing process.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Assembling wax runner systems in line with technical instructions and production requirements.
- Using specialist tools and equipment including hot knives, hot plates, craft knives and band saws.
- Cutting wax bars using band saw equipment.
- Carrying out manual handling duties.
- Following technique cards, job instructions and production procedures.
- Completing job cards accurately.
- Recording production activity using a touchscreen booking system.
- Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the production process.
- Keeping the working area clean, tidy and organised in line with 5S standards.
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous manufacturing, production, factory or assembly experience would be advantageous.
- Comfortable working in a practical, hands-on environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to follow written instructions and production processes accurately.
- Confident using tools and machinery, or willing to learn.
- Good awareness of workplace health and safety.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks.
