Pearson Whiffin Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Wax Assembly Factory Operative to join a busy and established manufacturing environment based in Rochester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products. You will be joining a skilled production team where attention to detail, accuracy and a strong approach to health and safety are essential.

The Role:

  • Working within the Wax Assembly department, you will be responsible for assembling wax runner systems ready for the next stage of the manufacturing process.
  • Responsibilities will include:
    • Assembling wax runner systems in line with technical instructions and production requirements.
    • Using specialist tools and equipment including hot knives, hot plates, craft knives and band saws.
    • Cutting wax bars using band saw equipment.
    • Carrying out manual handling duties.
    • Following technique cards, job instructions and production procedures.
    • Completing job cards accurately.
    • Recording production activity using a touchscreen booking system.
    • Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the production process.
    • Keeping the working area clean, tidy and organised in line with 5S standards.
    • Following all relevant health and safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous manufacturing, production, factory or assembly experience would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a practical, hands-on environment.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Able to follow written instructions and production processes accurately.
  • Confident using tools and machinery, or willing to learn.
  • Good awareness of workplace health and safety.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
