We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to join our clients' Quality teams based at their Rochester site. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys solving complex quality issues, and is confident working with both customers and suppliers.
You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our clients' quality systems, supporting production, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, including AS9100.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing supplier approval status and supporting supplier audits
- Operating and maintaining the CAPA (RCCA) system
- Managing standards, specifications, and documentation control
- Supporting APQP, PPAP and New Product Introduction activities
- Conducting First Article Inspections and managing concessions
- Supporting internal, customer, and supplier visits and audits
- Maintaining and updating the risk register
- Generating and maintaining manufacturing routes within MRP
- Contract review and configuration control
- Accurate record keeping and ongoing systems development
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Experience working within an AS9100 quality environment
- Background in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support/lead improvement teams
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Desirable:
- Experience with NADCAP or specialist process accreditations
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge
- Internal and/or external auditing experience or qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
