We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Planner to join a well-established organisation based in Mid Kent.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within logistics, transport or a construction-related environment and be confident coordinating HGV operations in a busy, fast-paced setting.
Duties Include:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of a fleet of HGVs transporting specialist plant, machinery and related equipment.
- Organise driver and vehicle allocation in line with daily operational demands, ensuring resources are used as effectively as possible.
- Work closely with customers, site contacts and internal teams to ensure collections and deliveries are arranged and completed on schedule.
- Keep track of vehicles throughout the working day and deal promptly with any delays, breakdowns, changes or last-minute requirements.
- Ensure transport operations are carried out within all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including drivers’ hours, working time and Operator Licence obligations.
- Produce and manage daily transport plans, delivery information and associated paperwork, keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Maintain regular contact with drivers, providing them with relevant instructions, route information and support.
