Our client is looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join their growing team in a varied and rewarding role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is looking to develop new skills within a supportive and expanding business.
Working as part of a busy depot, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse and yard while playing a key role in stock management. As the business continues to grow, you'll also receive full training, making this far more than your average warehouse role.
Duties include:
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and depot.
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Accurately picking and preparing stock for customer orders.
- Carrying out routine stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, organised and safe.
- Operating a forklift to move goods and materials.
- Assisting with the manufacture of installation fixings.
- Travelling nationwide (following full training) to install portable air conditioning units.
- Supporting colleagues across the business and carrying out any other duties as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a warehouse, yard or depot environment.
- A valid forklift licence.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to accurately manage stock.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel nationwide when required following training.
