We are recruiting on behalf of an established specialist engineering and maintenance business looking to add an experienced Pump Engineer to its field-based team.

The company provides a range of engineering, maintenance and infrastructure services to commercial and domestic customers across the region and has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable technical support.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a secure, long-term position with strong earning potential, ongoing training and development.

The Role

As a Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of pumping equipment across customer sites.

  • Servicing and maintaining pumps and associated equipment
  • Working on wastewater and surface water pumping systems
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Inspecting equipment and associated infrastructure
  • Attending breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required
  • Identifying faults and completing repairs efficiently
  • Working independently across customer sites
  • Completing work safely and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with previous experience working with pumps, pumping equipment or associated mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Previous pump engineering or maintenance experience
  • Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience within a field service or maintenance environment
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the local region
  • Full UK driving licence
