Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative Location: Deliveries across London & the Home Counties Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE Hours: 48 hours per week Vehicle: 3.5T Long-Wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy and growing operation. The company is a market leading construction material business that have been trading for over 30 years. This is a varied position combining driving and warehouse responsibilities. You’ll be responsible for completing deliveries throughout London and the Home Counties, safely loading and unloading the vehicle, and supporting the warehouse team between deliveries. The Role 1. Driving a 3.5-tonne long-wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter 2. Completing deliveries across London and the Home Counties 3. Safely loading and unloading the vehicle 4. Ensuring goods are correctly secured and transported safely 5. Providing a professional and friendly service when dealing with customers 6. Checking deliveries and associated paperwork 7. Assisting with general warehouse duties between delivery runs 8. Picking, moving and preparing goods for dispatch 9. Keeping the warehouse and vehicle clean, safe and organised 10. Carrying out basic daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues What We're Looking For * Full UK driving licence (Category B) * Previous delivery driving or van driving experience preferred * Confident driving a long-wheelbase van throughout London and the Home Counties * Previous warehouse experience would be advantageous * Physically fit and comfortable with regular loading and unloading * Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious * Good communication and customer service skills * Flexible attitude and happy to support the warehouse team when not out on deliveries Package * £35,000 – £40,000 basic salary depending on experience * 48-hour working week * Varied role combining driving and warehouse responsibilities * Long-term opportunity within a busy and growing operation This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Delivery Driver or Warehouse Operative with driving experience who is looking for a varied position offering a competitive salary.
