We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client, based in the Medway Towns, to join their Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This role will support the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accuracy across bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting.
Duties will include:
- Processing day-to-day accounts and general bookkeeping
- Posting journals and supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing prepayments and supplier/customer ledgers
- Completing bank reconciliations and assisting with multi-currency payment runs
- Supporting invoicing, statements, and credit control
- Assisting with ad-hoc finance tasks and reporting as required
The successful candidate will:
- Be available at short notice
- Have previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
- Have strong reconciliation and journal posting experience
- Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Be able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
