Are you a mechanically minded engineering graduate who wants more than just sitting behind a CAD screen all day? We’re recruiting for a growing manufacturing business looking for a bright, driven Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team in a varied, hands-on role with genuine long-term progression.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys understanding how things work in the real world — someone interested in manufacturing processes, quality, continuous improvement and problem solving, rather than purely design-based engineering.
You’ll work closely with production, quality and technical teams, helping new products move through manufacturing, supporting process improvements, updating engineering documentation and getting involved in day-to-day engineering challenges on the shop floor.
The role offers excellent exposure across:
- Process engineering
- Manufacturing engineering
- Quality and continuous improvement
- Technical documentation
- NPI / new product introduction
- Shop floor engineering support
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive or General Engineering
- Can read engineering drawings
- Has some CAD knowledge
- Wants to build a long-term career within engineering and manufacturing
- Is proactive, organised and keen to learn
- Enjoys being hands-on and working closely with people across the business
What’s in it for you?
- A genuinely varied engineering role with exposure across multiple areas of the business
- The chance to develop practical, real-world engineering experience rather than being pigeonholed early in your career
- Close mentoring and support from experienced engineers
- Long-term progression opportunities within a growing technical environment
- A collaborative, down-to-earth team culture where personality and attitude matter
- The opportunity to build a strong foundation within process and manufacturing engineering — ideal for someone looking to develop a long-term engineering career
- Early finish every Friday!
