We are currently recruiting for an ambitious and detail orientated Transport Administrator to join a well-established and busy haulage company based in South Kent. This is a key support role within the transport operation, ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
The Role
- Working closely with the Transport Planning Manager and wider operations team, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the transport function.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to the transport and planning team
- Inputting and maintaining accurate transport data on internal systems
- Processing delivery paperwork, PODs, and driver documentation
- Assisting with route planning and scheduling where required
- Monitoring and updating transport records, including vehicle and driver information
- Supporting compliance with transport legislation, driver hours, and tachograph records
- Handling customer and driver queries professionally and efficiently
- Raising and checking invoices, rates, and job costing information
- Filing, reporting, and general office administration duties
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a transport or haulage administration role
- Good understanding of transport operations within a haulage environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident using transport systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
