Geography Subject Lead Teacher

Pearson Whiffin Education is seeking a passionate and experienced Geography Subject Lead Teacher for a well-regarded secondary school in the Ashford area. This is a long-term, full-time role with full responsibilities marking and planning are included.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Geography department and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You ll be joining a supportive Humanities team in a school with a strong commitment to academic excellence and staff development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the Geography subject area, shaping curriculum delivery and departmental strategy
- Teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 with full responsibility for planning, delivery, and assessment
- Supporting the progress and achievement of students through engaging, well-structured lessons
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative department environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications
- Have experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
- Possess excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be proactive, enthusiastic, and ready to take on a leadership role
