Geography Subject Lead Teacher
Ashford, Kent
Long-Term, Full Time
£200.00 – £300.00 per day (depending on experience)

Pearson Whiffin Education is seeking a passionate and experienced Geography Subject Lead Teacher for a well-regarded secondary school in the Ashford area. This is a long-term, full-time role with full responsibilities marking and planning are included.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Geography department and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You ll be joining a supportive Humanities team in a school with a strong commitment to academic excellence and staff development.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the Geography subject area, shaping curriculum delivery and departmental strategy
  • Teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 with full responsibility for planning, delivery, and assessment
  • Supporting the progress and achievement of students through engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative department environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications
  • Have experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
  • Possess excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be proactive, enthusiastic, and ready to take on a leadership role
