We are working with a well-established logistics business to recruit an experienced Customs Clearance Operator to join their growing team in Birmingham. The Role
As a Customs Clearance Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods through UK customs. You will prepare and submit customs declarations, maintain compliance with regulations, and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit import and export customs declarations accurately and within required timeframes
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and international trade requirements
- Process customs entries using systems such as CDS, Destin8, CNS, MCP or similar
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and port authorities
- Verify shipping documentation including invoices, packing lists, and related paperwork
