We’re currently partnering with a leading international logistics company that is opening a brand new UK operation in Dover. They are seeking a proactive and organised Customs Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in international transport administration and a strong understanding of customs paperwork and EU import/export regulations.
The Role
- Entering jobs from customers into the TMS system
- Sending transport orders to contractors
- Booking ferry and train crossings
- Preparing and sending customs paperwork to agents, and forwarding clearance advice to contractors
- Tracking transports and updating customers on any delays
- Uploading Proof of Deliveries (PODs) into the TMS system once jobs are completed
- Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in international transport administration
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures and EU import/export rules
- Excellent administrative skills with strong attention to detail
- Customer-focused with previous experience in client-facing roles
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- German-speaking candidates would be highly advantageous
