We are currently working with a well-established and growing logistics operation who are looking to appoint a Transport Planner to support their busy distribution function. This is a key position within the operation, responsible for keeping deliveries on track, supporting drivers, and ensuring high service levels for customers.
This role would suit a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of daily transport planning and performance.
The Role:- Creating and managing daily delivery schedules for a fleet of vehicles
- Acting as the main point of contact for drivers throughout the day, resolving any delivery issues as they arise
- Liaising closely with both sales and stock teams to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations
- Proactively communicating with customers to manage expectations when delays occur
- Ensuring all transport activity remains compliant with health, safety, and driver regulations
- Coordinating the dispatch of online and e-commerce orders
- Previous experience within a transport, planning, or logistics coordination role
- A strong working knowledge of transport and distribution processes
- Excellent organisational abilities with a calm approach under pressure
