A leading specialist in temporary heating and cooling solutions is looking for a fully qualified Commercial Gas & F-Gas Engineer to join their Midlands team.

This is a practical, field-based engineering role working on commercial boiler and chiller plant across installation, service, maintenance and emergency response. The work is hands-on and varied, involving plant rooms, mechanical pipework, and temporary heating & cooling systems across commercial and industrial sites.

The Role

  • Installation, service and maintenance of temporary commercial boilers and chillers
  • Working on commercial boiler systems and forced draft burners
  • Fault-finding across heating, cooling and plant systems
  • Mechanical pipework modifications within plant rooms
  • Working on chilled water systems, AHUs and associated equipment
  • Supporting installation and commissioning of temporary plant
  • Attending emergency callouts on a rota basis
  • Working across commercial / industrial customer sites throughout the Midlands
  • Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe and F-Gas regulations

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring both mechanical and technical capability — not purely service or commissioning.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Commercial Gas Safe (fully qualified)
  • F-Gas Refrigeration certification
  • Proven experience on commercial boiler systems
  • Strong fault-finding across heating / cooling plant
  • Experience working in plant rooms / commercial environments
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to work overtime and attend call-outs

Desirable

  • Experience with chillers, chilled water systems or AHUs
  • Mechanical pipework / plant room installation experience
  • BMS / controls knowledge
  • Oil / dual fuel burner experience
