Business Development Manager – Automotive Dealership Sector
I’m representing a long-established, market-leading manufacturer of chemical coatings for the automotive trade, supplying high-quality solutions to dealerships across the UK, EMEA, and MENA. With over 30 years of industry leadership, this business continues to expand and is now looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join their team.
The Role
This is a hybrid position split between new business development and account management. You’ll be responsible for:
- Prospecting, identifying, and winning new dealership partners across East Anglia
- Managing and growing existing accounts in the region
- Building strong relationships with Dealer Principals, Aftersales Managers, and senior stakeholders
- Understanding client needs and introducing the company’s premium coating solutions
- Travelling across the region to maximise sales opportunities
What We’re Looking For
You will:
- Have experience in the automotive dealership sector or a similar automotive-related environment
- Be confident in prospecting, pitching, and closing new business
- Be equally comfortable nurturing existing accounts and driving growth
- Have strong communication skills and a proactive, relationship-led approach
- Be self-motivated, organised, and able to manage your own regional patch
What’s On Offer
- Basic salary around £28,000
- Guaranteed commission for the first few months
- £45,000 OTE in year one
