Business Development Manager

Delighted to be representing a market-leading building services company with over 50 years of experience in the industry. With a strong team of over 200 professionals and a turnover exceeding £110 million, they are proud to provide exceptional service across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

They are now looking for an experienced, motivated Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team and play a key role in driving the company’s continued growth and success.

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and contributing to the strategic direction of the company. You will be targeting M&E consultants to build relationships for future tender opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Location is London with occasional travel to Cambridge and Oxfordshire

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive company growth.
  • Build strong, long-lasting client relationships and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to the company’s overall business development strategy.
  • Attend industry events and networking functions to raise the company’s profile.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development within the building services, construction, or related sectors.
  • Experience in winning framework agreements
  • Strong understanding of the building services industry and its key players.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A track record of successfully securing new business and managing client relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Proactive, target-driven, and results-focused.
  • A network of contacts within the industry is highly desirable.
