Maintenance Supervisor Ashford Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5pm (Additional payment of £45 per month for out of hours call-outs) We are looking to have someone join a global leader in supplying ingredients and premix manufacturing solutions for the food, beverage, and nutrition industries, with over 40 years of experience. The company offers expertise in ingredient sourcing and distribution, maintaining strategic stocks in over 35 locations worldwide. As a Maintenance Supervisor , you will oversee all Engineering and Facility activities , balancing hands-on work with delegation. Youll provide leadership, mentor the team, and collaborate with departments to ensure strong support. You’ll work closely with the Health & Safety representative to manage legal compliance and liaise with Operations and the General Manager on site development and projects. General responsibilities include; Supervise and support the team of technicians on technical matters. Improve service delivery performance and reduce costs where possible. Monitor and report on departmental KPIs. Conduct machinery audits when necessary. Manage all aspects of engineering from planning to completion. Develop practices, routines, and solutions to improve productivity and product quality Perform risk assessments Oversee the site T-card reporting system for maintenance and breakdowns, and delegate tasks accordingly Develop new health and safety policy procedures in line with regulations Conduct in-house training sessions on best practices and safe systems of work Ensure records are kept up to date Participate in continuous improvements as guided by the General Manager Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are consistently upheld Undertake tasks requested by the Production Manager or General Manager For this position you must have/be: Formal engineering qualification. Electrical and mechanical installation experience. Strong understanding of health and safety practices (IOSH or higher). Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience working in a FMCG environment. Good knowledge of food safety expectations. Experience in incident investigation and report writing.
