Workshop Assistant - training to progress to Fabricator!
Paddock Wood - own transport ESSENTIAL
c.£28-34k dependent on skillset
Hours: 6.30am - 4pm Monday - Friday (overtime possible weeknights and Saturday mornings)
Fantastic exclusive opportunity for a Prefabrication Assistant to join a successful, established organisation who cultivate a great working environment, based in the Paddock Wood area.
Duties include:
- Working in a small team within a busy metal fabrication workshop using a range of hand tools
- Reading technical drawings accurately
- Supporting the fabrication process, learning the process within a metal fabrication environment
- Using machinery and power tools
- Maintaining the highest quality whilst working to productivity targets
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Providing support to the wider team as required
- Carrying out Quality Control checks as and when required
- Accurately measuring to specification
- Working to all health and safety rules and regulations
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Have some relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Be interested in mechanics/mechanical engineering - ideally demonstrated through qualifications/education or personal projects
- A positive, upbeat personality with a genuine passion for work!
