Plant Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Supervisor to join a well-established and growing organisation within the building materials industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual with previous experience working within a plant-based environment, ideally within the ready-mix concrete industry.
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy plant, ensuring production operates safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, service and compliance.
Duties Include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of a busy concrete plant and ensuring production runs smoothly.
- Producing concrete in line with required quality standards and customer expectations.
- Liaising regularly with drivers and dispatch teams to coordinate efficient batching and deliveries.
- Monitoring plant performance and responding quickly to any operational issues.
- Managing stock levels, plant equipment and delivery records.
- Ensuring accurate records and documentation are maintained.
- Taking responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental standards across the site.
- Building positive working relationships with drivers, colleagues and customers.
- Supporting the wider operation to ensure high levels of customer service are maintained.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a similar plant, concrete, aggregates or manufacturing environment.
- Experience within the ready-mix concrete industry would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of customer requirements and service expectations.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
- A loading shovel qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
