We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Supervisor to join a well-established and growing organisation within the building materials industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual with previous experience working within a plant-based environment, ideally within the ready-mix concrete industry.

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy plant, ensuring production operates safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, service and compliance.

Duties Include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of a busy concrete plant and ensuring production runs smoothly.
  • Producing concrete in line with required quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Liaising regularly with drivers and dispatch teams to coordinate efficient batching and deliveries.
  • Monitoring plant performance and responding quickly to any operational issues.
  • Managing stock levels, plant equipment and delivery records.
  • Ensuring accurate records and documentation are maintained.
  • Taking responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental standards across the site.
  • Building positive working relationships with drivers, colleagues and customers.
  • Supporting the wider operation to ensure high levels of customer service are maintained.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within a similar plant, concrete, aggregates or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within the ready-mix concrete industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of customer requirements and service expectations.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
  • A loading shovel qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
