We are recruiting for a part time Finance Manager for a brilliant organisation based in the East Kent area. Working closely with the senior management, you will ensure financial controls, governance and best practice are maintained. You will be responsible for the accounting entries in Sage, to monitor and manage the bank accounts, oversee payroll, and produce monthly accounts. You will be expected to oversee staff tasks in respect to finance, such as invoicing.
This role provides an opportunity to make a real impact - you should expect the role to be a broad and challenging one with lots of variety - you will have the chance to be involved in many aspects of the day-to-day operations. Duties include:
- Monitor and manage cash flow
- Produce monthly accounts
- Assist in creation of the annual report
- Responsible for policies and procedures
- Process supplier invoices in Sage
- Pay supplier invoices in line with terms
- Create invoices and enter in Sage
- Processing of journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Process and reconcile bank account entries
- Produce audit schedules and deliverables
- Liaise with suppliers for contract renewals, price negotiations etc
- Work with the Treasurer to create annual budget
- Produce VAT returns
- Project appraisals / one-off tasks as required
