Principal Data Engineer – Inside IR35 – Hybrid – SC Cleared
An established Client is seeking an SC Cleared Principal Data Engineer on an initial contract.
You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable data pipelines and platforms Working within a collaborative Agile team, you’ll deliver robust data engineering solutions using modern cloud technologies while ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise-scale data platforms, architectures, and engineering standards.
- Build and optimise secure, scalable cloud-based data solutions that enable reporting, analytics, AI, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Design and maintain modern ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration frameworks, and reusable data products.
Experience
- 7 years’ experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Development, or Software Engineering.
- Strong experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise with technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Airflow, Spark, SQL, and Python.
- Proven experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data architectures.
- Between £600 – £900 Per day inside IR35
- This role is based in Reading and requires 3 days a week onsite
