Pearson Carter are currently working with a leading Microsoft Partner who are looking to appoint a Principal AI & Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data and AI solutions. This is a senior, client-facing role combining architecture leadership, pre-sales engagement, and governance across complex Microsoft-based programmes. You will act as Design Authority across Azure, Fabric, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Design Authority for AI and Data architectures
  • Lead pre-sales engagements, workshops, and solution shaping
  • Architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure data platforms and AI solutions
  • Provide governance and technical oversight to reduce delivery risk
  • Own architecture and technical documentation
  • Define standards, patterns, and reusable assets
  • Mentor delivery teams and support product innovation

Experience

  • Proven experience architecting enterprise-scale Azure data and AI solutions
  • Strong Azure data ecosystem knowledge (ADF, Synapse, Fabric, Azure SQL, Power BI)
  • AI architecture expertise (ML, generative AI, cognitive services)
  • Strong understanding of modern data architecture (lakehouse, ELT/ETL, MDM)
  • Power Platform and Dynamics 365 integration experience
  • Pre-sales and executive stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience establishing architectural governance
