Power Platform Developer £40,000- Norwich
An established UK law firm is expanding its internal technology function and is looking for a Power platformDeveloper to help improve the systems used across the organisation. This is a varied, hands‑on position covering application development, workflow automation, system integration and technical support. You will create solutions using Microsoft Power Platform while also supporting and enhancing VisualFiles, internal .NET applications, SQL databases and connected third‑party platforms.
The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of business‑critical systems and work directly with internal teams to turn operational challenges into effective technical solutions.
The Role
- Build applications and automated processes using Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Create dashboards and reporting solutions through Power BI.
- Enhance the firm’s VisualFiles environment, including workflows, scripts, templates and supporting data structures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline legal and operational processes.
- Connect internal platforms, Microsoft 365 and external services through APIs and Dataverse.
- Develop, maintain and improve applications built with .NET technologies.
- Investigate and resolve issues involving applications, integrations and databases.
- Work with users and stakeholders to define requirements and recommend practical solutions.
- Complete testing and maintain clear technical documentation throughout delivery.
- Provide ongoing support for newly implemented and existing systems.
What You’ll Need
- Commercial experience developing solutions within Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience working with SQL and relational database technologies.
- The ability to build or support integrations using REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Dataverse and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
- Development experience with C#, .NET or another object‑oriented language.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles, source control and testing.
- Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Confidence communicating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
Advantageous Experience
The following would be beneficial but is not essential:
- VisualFiles configuration or development experience, including Task Server, scripting, templates, workflows or data structures.
- Knowledge of Intapp or a comparable workflow and client‑intake platform.
- Previous employment within a law firm, professional‑services business or case‑management environment.
