An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Applications Development Manager to take ownership of a major Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) transformation. You will lead and shape the future of the organisation's business applications, working across Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform and wider Microsoft technologies.
This role offers the chance to influence technical direction, drive best practice, work closely with a chosen Microsoft Partner, and guide a long-term D365 upgrade and implementation programme.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the development, optimisation and ongoing management of Dynamics 365 CE and related business applications.
- Lead a major D365 CE upgrade/implementation project from inception, working with internal teams and external partners.
- Act as the technical advisor to the business, shaping standards, architecture and solution design.
- Manage suppliers and support project delivery across application development and systems integration.
- Conduct business analysis to gather requirements and support procurement and vendor selection.
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for business applications and troubleshoot issues across a hybrid tech environment.
- Work with data protection and operations teams to ensure compliance, security and robust documentation.
- Support end-users with training, adoption and continuous improvement of systems.
- Stay informed of new technologies and plan updates aligned to business needs.
- 5 years' experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, including hands‐on involvement in implementations.
- Strong understanding of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps; Power Pages advantageous).
- Background in C#, .NET and JavaScript.
- Experience integrating Dynamics with finance systems, websites and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).
- Ability to drive technical standards, influence decision‐making and see the bigger strategic picture.
- Experience supporting legacy and hybrid environments (Microsoft/Open Source).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‐solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with third‐party development teams and internal stakeholders.
