Engineering Manager – MERN Stack- UK permanent residents
Fully Remote – Up to £100k

Pearson Carter are currently working with an industry leading cyber security platform that are looking to expand their development team even further. This company have grown at a rapid rate over the last 12 months!

They are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in cloud-native development and deep expertise across the MERN stack. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to lead the engineering function, drive delivery, and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of full-stack engineers working with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
  • Oversee architectural decisions and technical direction
  • Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and delivery timelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Design to execute on roadmap goals
  • Ensure robust, scalable cloud-native deployments using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Build and maintain a high-performance, growth-oriented engineering culture
  • Identify process improvements and optimize team workflows

Experience

  • Proven experience managing engineering teams in a product-led or SaaS environment
  • Strong background in the MERN stack and cloud-native development
  • Solid technical leadership with the ability to guide architectural decisions
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Track record of successful delivery in fast-paced, agile environments
  • Passion for mentoring engineers and enabling career growth
  • Comfortable scaling engineering processes in teams of 50–500
