Pearson Carter is currently working with a global manufacturing company looking to bring in a new IT Support Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to act as the first point of contact for day-to-day IT operations across their office and warehouse, working closely with a Group Technical & Transformation Team. You’ll receive excellent exposure and opportunities to grow into enterprise systems and cloud technologies. They offer a structured development pathway and clear progression into advanced systems roles.
Responsibilities:
- Log, triage, and resolve incidents across software, hardware, access, and operational systems — capturing full evidence upfront.
- Provide hands‑on support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, and connectivity issues, including Day‑1 new starter readiness.
- Coordinate procurement, delivery, and returns of end‑user and warehouse IT equipment with third‑party vendors.
- Track recurring issues, maintain weekly trend reports, and contribute to SOPs and knowledge articles.
- Escalate complex issues to Application Support and the Group Technical & Transformation Team with structured escalation packs.
Experience:
- Experience in a 1st / 2nd line IT support role.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certified.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365 applications, Power BI, and endpoint troubleshooting.
- Basic exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE or F&O.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN).
- Good understanding of user access management and account provisioning.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
