Software Engineering Manager – £110k Fully Remote Amazing benefits! Pearson Carter are currently working with an industry leading cyber security platform that are looking to expand their development team even further. This company have grown at a rapid rate over the last 12 months!
Responsibilities
- Tech Leadership – Drive collaboration and performance across multiple engineering squads by fostering a culture of autonomy, accountability, and technical excellence. Support teams in architectural decisions and scaling best practices.
- Team Management – Conduct regular one‑on‑ones, define clear career development paths, and support engineers through mentorship, coaching, and feedback. Improve developer workflows and satisfaction by identifying bottlenecks through engineering metrics (e.g. PR throughput, CI speed, deployment frequency) and using tools like getDX to guide and drive measurable improvements.
- Lead the evaluation and integration of AI technologies across engineering. Experiment with and implement LLM‑based tools to enhance productivity (e.g. coding assistants, automated documentation/testing).
- Collaborate closely with Product, Content, and Data Science to plan, build, and release features that create meaningful impact for users.
- Build and Develop a World‑Class Engineering Team. Support the Head of Engineering.
Experience
- Deep experience working with React, Node, TypeScript, MongoDB, Express (MERN Stack).
- Strong understanding of AWS and CI/CD Pipelines.
- Experience leading software engineering teams of up to 10 people, ideally across multiple squads or projects.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous or complex problem spaces, with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
- Clear understanding of what makes a high‑performing engineering team, with the ability to foster and support that environment.
Salary
They offer an outstanding salary package: up to £110,000 with fully remote working with flexible working hours! £2,500 budget for personal development and training. Exceptional pension scheme. Location
This role is fully remote so you will be working from home 100% of the time.
