Pearse are excited to have partnered with one of the UK's leading private markets investment businesses, backed by a well-established banking group with deep specialist expertise. Operating within their Private Markets & Alternatives division, they have scaled to £1.2bn AUM since launch, with bold ambitions to grow to £10bn AUM. As part of their continued investment in this rapidly growing platform, they are looking for a Product Manager to help build and scale their off-balance sheet funds and funding platform. This is a strategic growth area for the business, focused on developing capital-efficient investment solutions that leverage the firm's specialist expertise, client relationships and differentiated deal flow.
The Role
As Product Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Product and play a key role in shaping and developing the business. This is a broad and strategic role, spanning fund development and launch, building out a scalable funds operating platform, and collaboration with investment teams, lending desk heads, internal stakeholders and external partners including administrators, lawyers and placement agents. You will be joining at a pivotal point in the platform's growth, with genuine ownership from day one, from assessing new fund opportunities and structures through to shaping governance frameworks across the business. Responsibilities
- Support the development, launch and ongoing oversight of investment funds and fund structures
- Establish and manage a scalable funds operating platform across fund administration, accounting, investor reporting, cash management, valuations and operational governance
- Work closely with investment teams, lending desk heads, internal stakeholders and external service providers including administrators, lawyers and placement agents.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, controls and operational processes
- Monitor fund KPIs, KRIs, compliance obligations and regulatory requirements
- Assess new fund opportunities, including commercial viability, fundraising potential, fund structures, operational readiness and regulatory considerations such as AIFMD
- Drive projects and change initiatives across a developing and entrepreneurial business area.
Requirements
- Experience within funds, investment management or institutional client environments
- Background in product, fund operations, fund administration, fund structuring or related areas
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive initiatives independently
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with genuine scope for ownership
