We are delighted to be partnering exclusively with one of the world’s leading global alternative asset managers who have over a century of experience investing in long-life, high-quality assets that form the backbone of the global economy. The firm manages one of the largest portfolios of assets across renewable energy, infrastructure, private equity, real estate, and credit.

After launching in Europe over 10 years ago, their energy platform has experienced significant growth and is now one of the largest globally, with operations across the continent and a portfolio of assets including wind, solar and battery storage investments. This is an exceptional time to be joining their energy business as it continues to scale rapidly globally.

The Group Financial Reporting Manager will become a key member of the European finance team and take ownership of financial reporting and day-to-day finance in an evolving environment. You will be integral in all aspects of the group’s reporting, ensuring the timely, accurate, and relevant delivery of financial information to internal stakeholders. This is a broad role spanning technical accounting, audit management, compliance, FP&A support, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and reporting deliverables on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Own the accounting and reporting requirements for a variety of entity types under IFRS.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate review of month-end close to tight deadlines.
  • Review P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, including resolution of queries and variance commentary for management.
  • Manage the external audit process and review annual financial statements.
  • Review VAT and other compliance returns.
  • Support the wider finance function, including FP&A, where required.
  • Support preparation of the annual budget and provide monthly variance analysis against actuals.
  • Partner with Tax, Legal and other functions as required.
  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements to streamline operations and enhance team efficiency.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Various ad hoc projects to support the business as they continue to scale.

What We Need to See (Essential):

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Highly technical accountant.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with high attention to detail and excellent time management.
  • An excellent communicator, capable of building meaningful relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and a positive, solutions-focused approach.

  • Experience working within an alternative asset management firm.
  • Exposure to the Energy/Renewable Energy industry.
