As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the accuracy and reliability of the company’s financial reporting. You will manage the end-to-end production and review of consolidated financial statements, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements (IFRS & GAAP), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage core accounting activities, including month-end and year-end close processes, to support timely reporting.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls to protect assets and ensure adherence to financial policies.
- Take ownership of regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring submissions are accurate and delivered on schedule.
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, coordinating the audit process from planning through completion.
- Oversee tax compliance and planning, including considerations related to digital assets.
- Support ongoing improvements in financial processes and systems, utilising NetSuite to strengthen reporting and efficiency.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred).
- Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Demonstrated experience in financial and regulatory reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience within fintech, banking, or financial services is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
