Finance Transformation Director

Pearse Professionals are supporting a fast-moving, complex organisation within the services sector in seeking an Interim Finance Transformation Programme Director to lead a major end-to-end transformation across Finance and Procurement. This role will be central to redesigning processes, rebuilding the operating model, and embedding a modern, technology-enabled finance function that delivers high-quality insight and drives business performance.

You’ll take ownership of a multi-workstream transformation programme aimed at creating a more efficient, automated and strategically aligned Finance and Procurement function. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership, you will shape the roadmap, deliver structural and process change, and ensure the organisation has the capabilities, controls and systems needed for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of a full finance transformation roadmap, ensuring milestones, benefits and governance are met.
• Redesign core finance processes (R2R, P2P, budgeting & forecasting), removing duplication and manual effort while improving control and transparency.
• Oversee the implementation and optimisation of finance systems, ensuring integration across Finance, Procurement and wider business platforms.
• Drive automation and digitisation to increase accuracy, efficiency and reporting speed.
• Build a robust performance management and reporting framework (KPIs, dashboards, MI).
• Establish a clear and sustainable operating model across Finance and Procurement, defining roles, workflows and service levels.
• Champion commercial insight and effective business partnering across the organisation.
• Deliver a structured transition plan to embed capability and ensure continuity post-programme.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with extensive experience delivering large-scale finance transformation programmes.
• Proven success leading major change in complex, multi-entity or regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in operating model design, process reengineering and digital finance.
• Confident leader able to influence senior stakeholders and maintain delivery pace.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and outcome focused.
