Pearse Professionals have partnered exclusively with a leading elite boutique investment bank who are looking to expand their finance team with a European Finance Director as they continue to scale operations across the continent. With a focus on M&A, capital raising and restructuring advisory, they have scaled to a headcount of more than 650 with offices in London (UK), Germany, France and across the US.

The European Finance Director will lead a small team and work extremely closely with the US based finance team and will lead on the execution of all accounting, finance and regulatory reporting matters for their European operations.

  • Implement world class finance processes and systems
  • Manage and build out a high performing finance team
  • Oversee European accounting operations including reviewing all month end close procedures for all of the European operations
  • Effective cash management and forecasting for their European entities
  • Presenting key financial reports to the Board and senior leadership
  • Partner with the Head of Financial Systems to optimise and automate reporting and invoice processes
  • Work closely with the Head of FP&A to deliver high quality financial analysis and long-term strategic planning
  • Leading on financial and regulatory reporting including the preparation of FCA reports and the review of European financial statements
  • Coordination of local audit requests
  • Work closely with tax advisors to ensure VAT and other tax compliance as well as deliver on any local tax and banking inquiries
  • Continuous process improvement and automation to enable the business to scale
  • Support with wider international expansion

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or CPA)
  • 8+ years minimum post qualified experience within regulated financial services
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to present well both internally and externally
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in across Finance
  • Collaborative and team focussed
  • Quick learner who can work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Ability to effectively manage and develop the team
