Overview
Pearse has been retained by a top-tier investment firm to appoint a Director of FP&A, responsible for driving performance reporting, valuation oversight, and strategic business planning across a diverse investment portfolio. The role will interface closely with global finance teams, investment leads, and portfolio company executives to ensure robust, consistent, and insight-driven financial deliverables.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the key finance liaison for the global head office team, managing ad hoc data and analysis requests.
- Aggregate and analyse platform-level financial performance metrics, identifying trends and delivering actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Support capital raising efforts by preparing quantitative investor materials and responding to complex investor queries.
- Oversee quarterly valuation processes across portfolio companies, ensuring consistency with internal methodologies and market standards.
- Review and challenge business plans and projections to validate assumptions and assess value creation opportunities.
- Coordinate onboarding and reporting for new investments, ensuring compliance with internal reporting standards.
- Monitor cash and funding needs across portfolio companies and communicate requirements to the central finance team.
- Lead on special projects and deliver high-quality strategic analysis to support decision-making at a platform level.
Requirements
- ~7–9 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of valuation processes.
- Background in Real Assets (Real-estate preferred).
- Experience working with private fund structures and investor reporting is beneficial.
- Clear communicator with the ability to present complex information in a simple, effective way.
- Confident working with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong track record of interpreting complex financial models and transactions (e.g. M&A, disposals, financing).
