Pearse Professionals are delighted to be partnered with a well-known, large entrepreneurial institution currently seeking strategic finance leaders to join the team to aid with the next stage of growth. With an opportunity to grow into a CFO position, this is a high-impact role at the forefront of strategy, finance, and operations, ideal for candidates from investment banking, management consulting, corporate finance, or commercial finance experience who want to transition into a senior finance capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with the senior leadership team to define and execute the financial roadmap, positioning the business for growth and future fundraising.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Build forecasting models, scenario plans, and KPI dashboards to inform executive and board-level decisions, as well as hold functions to account on their commitments to budgets and performance.
- Accounting Oversight: Manage relationship with external accounting firm, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and build internal financial discipline.
- Compliance & Risk: Oversee financial governance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory standards.
- Commercial Partnering: Provide insights into pricing, unit economics, and growth strategy for product and commercial teams.
- Leadership Development: Lay the foundations for an in-house finance team as the company scales.
Experience:
- Experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, or senior finance/strategy accounting (ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA Qualified or equivalent), roles in a scale-up.
- Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to portfolio management, fundraising, transaction processes, or board-level stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to rapidly learn and apply accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and hands-on execution.
- Passion for technology, sustainability, and transforming global supply chains.
- Prior exposure in TMT, Infrastructure, software, SaaS, technology, or impact-driven sectors.
