Renowned for their commitment to innovation and operating across multiple regions, they blend cutting-edge technology with deep market expertise to provide liquidity to both traditional and crypto markets. As part of their continued growth strategy in this area of the business, they are looking for somebody to lead their Middle Office team, to help scale and optimise post-trade operations in a rapidly growing and evolving business.
As the Middle Office Lead in digital assets, you will work extremely closely with an experienced CFO and oversee a small, high-performing team responsible for the smooth execution of all post-trade processes in a fast-paced environment. This is both a hands-on operational position and a strategic role responsible for optimisation and improvements.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily trade, position, and cash reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of any breaks or discrepancies, working closely with trading teams.
- Take ownership of daily P&L validation, ensuring accuracy across all trading activities.
- Partner with Finance on month-end activities, including cash flow reconciliation and accounting.
- Drive the operational readiness for new crypto initiatives, coordinating with trading, technology, risk and compliance to ensure seamless post-trade integration.
- Review and refine existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and mitigate risk.
- Work closely with engineering teams to design and implement tools and automation that will improve operational precision and allow the business to scale.
Requirements:
- Previous experience leading Mid Office / Product Control teams in a financial services business.
- Strong understanding of financial products (with a preference for digital assets knowledge).
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning.
- Strong interest in fintech/technology.
- Ability to be a "hands on" leader.
- Advanced professional qualifications are a bonus (CFA, ACA, CPA).
