We are excited to be working with a fast growth software business in the fintech space who are currently looking for their first CFO following significant investment from one of the UK's most reputable Private Equity firms. The business requires a CFO to help guide them through the next stage of their growth, working closely with the CEO and the Investors.
Role & Responsibilities
- The CFO will report directly to the CEO and lead on all financial aspects of the business, leading the overall finance function.
- A key member of the Board responsible for driving the future growth of the business.
- Management of a finance team of two (including a hands-on Finance Director).
- Strategic partner to the CEO and wider leadership team to support on commercial initiatives and long-term strategic planning, including planning for an exit in c.4-5 years.
- Continuous process improvement and automation to enable the business to scale.
- Stakeholder management with the PE investors.
- Own and continually develop KPI reporting and analysis of key SaaS metrics.
- Identifying performance gaps and areas for potential improvement.
Requirements
- Proven track record of working within a PE or VC backed tech business.
- CFO experience in a fast growth start-up or scale-up.
- Highly commercially astute.
- Ability to become a strategic partner to a CEO.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to present well both internally and externally.
- Previous M&A or fundraising experience a bonus.
- Experience in the SaaS or Fintech space preferred.
Additional potential to be fully remote in the long run.
