I’m delighted to be partnering with a well-established global mid-market private equity investor on the hire of an Associate for its European team.
With a recent fundraise, the firm is entering an active deployment phase and is building out its European platform. Europe is a core priority for the business, with a strong pipeline of opportunities across the region and a lean team where Associates take on real responsibility early.
The role:
- Working across the full investment cycle, from origination and screening through to execution and exit
- Building and owning financial models, valuation analysis and returns cases
- Leading workstreams on due diligence, coordinating advisors and managing day-to-day deal processes
- Preparing investment committee materials and presenting views on opportunities
- Supporting financing and structuring work alongside senior team members
- Working closely with portfolio company management teams on value-creation plans, add-on acquisitions and strategic initiatives
- Covering deals and assets across multiple European markets, with regular cross-border exposure
What we’re looking for:
- c.2 years in M&A / investment banking, ideally from a top-tier advisory platform
- c.2 years in private equity, with live transaction experience
- Fluency in at least one European language alongside English (German, French, Italian, Spanish or Nordic languages particularly valued)
- A genuine interest in working across European markets and cultures
- Strong modelling and analytical skills, combined with commercial judgement
- A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach and the ability to thrive in a lean, high-ownership team
