About the Role
The firm is seeking an Origination Manager to join its London team in a deal-sourcing-focused capacity. This role is distinct from the core execution team and is designed for a professional who is passionate about building networks, generating proprietary deal flow, and being the face of the firm in the market. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners to shape and execute the firm's origination strategy.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, research and approach target companies and management teams across priority sectors
- Build and maintain a strong network of intermediaries, advisors, brokers and industry contacts to generate proprietary and semi-proprietary deal flow
- Develop and maintain a structured, data-driven approach to origination, including CRM management and pipeline reporting
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences and networking functions
- Work closely with the investment team to hand over qualified opportunities and support early-stage screening
- Track market trends, competitor activity and sector themes to inform the firm's investment thesis
- Contribute to the firm's broader marketing and brand-building efforts within the PE community
Qualifications
- 4–8 years' experience in private equity origination, corporate finance, M&A advisory, or a related business development role
- Demonstrable track record of building networks and generating deal opportunities
- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to assess opportunities at a high level
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; comfortable engaging with senior management and advisors
- Highly organised, with experience using CRM/pipeline management tools
