Our client, a highly reputable investment and advisory firm with a strong presence across Financial Services, is seeking an experienced Director to join their growing FIG team. With an established franchise and a strong track record across wealth & asset management, specialty finance, insurance, and broader financial services, this role offers the opportunity to take a central position within an active mid-market platform.
As Director, you will lead on both origination and execution, taking responsibility for deepening client relationships, shaping strategic dialogue, and delivering M&A mandates. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious senior banker to join a collaborative, entrepreneurial FIG practice with substantial room for impact and progression.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end execution of FIG transactions
- Drive origination efforts, identifying new opportunities and cultivating senior-level relationships across the financial services ecosystem
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, providing strategic insight and sector expertise
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members, ensuring the highest analytical and execution standards
- Contribute to the continued growth of the FIG platform, shaping market strategy, coverage priorities, and product positioning
- Currently operating at Director level, or a very strong VP with clear readiness to step up into a senior leadership position
- Strong transaction execution experience across at least one core FIG vertical (e.g., wealth / asset management, insurance, specialty finance, fintech, banking)
- Must have proven ability to originate deals and manage client relationships, ideally with a UK network
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a dynamic, relationship-driven environment
