Debt Portfolio Associate – Energy Transition Finance

Pearse Partners have partnered with a purpose-driven investment manager – seeking a Debt Portfolio Associate to support the Energy team’s rapidly growing lending platform.

Managing over £3.6 bn across Social Housing, Clean Heat, Private Credit and Venture strategies with a focus of investing in renewables, storage and digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Portfolio Manager with covenant testing on the portfolio
• Help to proactively monitor the portfolio by applying a targeted and pragmatic approach
• Regularly update and provide clear forecasting of project cashflows in line with budget forecasts
• Build and maintain financial models for cashflow projections, sensitivity analyses and risk assessments.
• Manage loan administration—utilisation requests, repayment schedules, waiver submissions and compliance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with project developers, sponsors, lawyers, investment teams and other stakeholders

Experience

• Strong understanding of debt structures and documentation
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, or private debt ideally with focus on energy/infrastructure
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Growing relationship management and negotiation skills
• Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
