The CLO Investment Analyst will join a small and growing investment team focused on sourcing, analysing, and executing investments across the CLO capital structure — including both primary issuance and secondary trading opportunities.

This is a front-office, investment side position rather than a portfolio or operations role.

The analyst will contribute to detailed credit and structural analysis, cash flow modelling, and market research, supporting the team’s investment recommendations and execution process.

The role is ideal for a candidate with experience in structured credit, leveraged finance, or a related credit-focused role (e. g., investment banking, ratings, or buy-side analysis) who is eager to deepen their expertise in CLO investing and take on more analytical and commercial responsibility within a lean, high-performing investment team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating primary and secondary CLO transactions across the capital structure (equity, mezzanine, and senior tranches).
  • Build and maintain cash flow models to assess expected returns, sensitivities, and stress scenarios.
  • Conduct detailed collateral analysis, focusing on underlying loan portfolios, credit quality, and diversification characteristics.
  • Support deal underwriting by preparing transaction summaries, return profiles, and performance projections.
  • Participate in relative value and market trend analysis, identifying investment opportunities within the structured credit universe.
  • Contribute to investment committee materials and help articulate risk/reward assessments clearly and concisely.
  • Track CLO issuance, trading levels, and secondary market developments.
  • Maintain and update databases of CLO managers, performance metrics, and structural features.
  • Conduct manager due diligence, reviewing historical performance, investment style, and collateral management behaviour.
  • Monitor macro and sector-level developments in the leveraged loan market impacting CLO structures and returns.
  • Candidate Profile

  • Strong grasp of credit fundamentals, cash flow modelling, and basic structured finance concepts.
  • Exposure to CLOs or leveraged loan products is strongly preferred.
