VP, Special Situations (Litigation Finance) | London
We’re working with a founder-led, global special situations investor on a Vice President hire in London. The role will lead the build-out of its European pipeline.
The firm invests opportunistically across complex situations, using flexible capital to back differentiated opportunities across structures, asset types and jurisdictions. Legal assets are a growing focus for its European business.
The role
Report directly to the founder, with real ownership of the European pipeline
Originate, structure and execute investments across special situations, opportunistic credit and litigation-related assets
Build relationships with law firms, restructuring advisers, insolvency practitioners, sponsors, corporates and co-investors
Design creative structures with strong downside protection and take deals from term sheet to exit
Help shape the firm’s London presence as it grows
The profile
Typically 8 to 12 years at a top tier platform: private credit (direct lending, opportunistic credit, special situations or capital solutions), mid-cap private equity, or restructuring
Proven origination, with deals you sourced yourself
Exceptional structuring skills and a generalist mindset across sectors and the capital structure
Litigation-related deal experience is a big plus: litigation finance, claim monetisation, award enforcement or insolvency claims
This is a rare chance to join a lean, entrepreneurial team in a front line seat with real autonomy.
All enquiries will be treated in strict confidence. To find out more, contact Robin Lovegrove at or on
