As a General Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in the production process, assisting in various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a talented Production Operative to join our team and oversee the successful execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly and Manufacturing: Participate in the assembly and manufacturing of products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
- Machine Operation: Operate production machinery, such as presses, cutting machines, or conveyor systems, while following safety protocols and maintaining equipment cleanliness.
- Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of products at various stages of production to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Report any quality issues to supervisors.
- Material Handling: Safely handle and transport raw materials, components, and finished products within the production area using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including tracking materials used and reporting shortages to the inventory control team.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep work areas clean and organised, including machinery, tools, and production equipment. Perform routine maintenance tasks and assist with equipment setup and changeovers.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training programs.
- Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and resolve production-related issues or challenges.
