We are a well-established, growing construction and fire protection business based in the Bridgend area, delivering residential sprinkler systems across South and West Wales. Following strong demand driven in large part by the Welsh Governments mandatory sprinkler legislation we are looking for a skilled Residential Sprinkler Engineer to join our team.
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of domestic and residential fire sprinkler systems in accordance with BS 9251:2021. This is a specialist role with excellent long-term prospects in one of the most consistently active markets in the UK for this discipline.
- Install residential fire sprinkler systems to BS 9251:2021 on new build and retrofit projects across South Wales
- Carry out first and second fix installation of sprinkler pipework, heads, control valves, alarm systems, and water supplies if needed
- Commission and test completed systems, including flow and pressure testing and alarm activation checks, along with compliance paperwork
- Conduct routine servicing and maintenance inspections in line with manufacturer and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with site managers, other trades, building control, and end clients professionally
- Complete all relevant certification, commissioning records, and handover documentation accurately
Proven experience installing residential or commercial fire sprinkler systems essential. Sound working knowledge of BS 9251:2021 (domestic/residential sprinklers) essential. Solid understanding of water supply requirements: mains-fed, tank-fed, and pump-boosted systems. CSCS card and relevant site safety certifications. Full UK driving licence essential.
