Our client is looking for an analytical individual to join their team as a Market Insight Analyst. You’ll be working within the Investment Administration Risk & Controls function, responsible for managing market surveillance, daily controls, reconciliations oversight, and reporting. This role suits someone with existing knowledge of IA and investment market operations, who has previous experience of working in the financial services sector. The successful candidate will have experience with market-data analysis with the ability to produce comprehensive MI and reports.
Responsibilities will include:
- Experience of working within risk management frameworks, ensuring timely analysis, triage, and escalation
- Conducting and documenting the daily investment market-surveillance control suite and financial platforms
- Performing first-level analysis of surveillance alerts, escalating issues as appropriate
- Identifying themes and trends requiring senior-management escalation
- Overseeing reconciliations across positions, pricing, market data, and broker/internal feeds
- Producing daily IA control MI, reconciliation oversight MI, and market-surveillance analytics
- Maintaining dashboards for governance, reporting, and compliance
- Interpreting market events affecting IA and providing data-based insights to support decision-making
- Acting as central point of contact between IA, Compliance, Technology, Clients, Vendors, and Risk
- Communicating issues, insights, and trends clearly to stakeholders
Skills and experience required:
- Experience within a similar role and strong knowledge of investment and market operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce clear MI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Related qualifications are ideal but not essential (degree in finance, economics, or risk, or related professional certifications)
