Are you a dynamic problem-solver who thrives on resolving complex challenges in real-time? Our client, a growing waste management company, is looking for a high-energy Supply Chain Manager to become the backbone of their operation. In this role, you aren’t just managing a list of vendors; you are their primary "fixer." You will sit at the heart of the company, bridging the gap between their Sales, Onboarding, and Customer Service teams to ensure their promises to clients are always kept.
The Role
You will be the face of the company to their supplier partners and the hero for their internal teams. Your mission is to ensure they have the right suppliers, at the right price, delivering the best service - every single time.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Relationship and Escalation: Act as the lead service negotiator and ambassador. You’ll handle the tricky conversations; resolving disputes over pricing and service failures with existing partners.
- Strategic Sourcing: Expand geographical reach by hunting for and onboarding new waste management partners, ensuring all credit and compliance checks are watertight.
- The ‘Fixer’ Protocol: Resolve urgent, real-time service issues. When a supplier fails, you step in to negotiate a solution that upholds our high standards for the customer.
- Smart Allocation: Play "matchmaker" by deciding which suppliers receive specific contracts based on cost, capacity, and service track record.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with Onboarding and CS teams to ensure seamless service delivery for every new site we win.
- Tech and CRM Management: Maintain and optimise CRM systems to ensure supply chain data is accurate and actionable.
About You
- An Expert Negotiator: You know how to handle price increases and service disputes without damaging relationships.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable navigating CRM systems and using data to drive decisions.
- Dynamic and Energetic: You enjoy a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple fire-fighting tasks without losing your eye for detail and your commitment to deadlines.
- A Natural Ambassador: You represent our brand with professionalism, ensuring suppliers meet our high customer-centric standards.
Why Join Us? This is a rewarding role for someone who wants to see the direct impact of their work. If you have a solution-focussed mindset and the commercial acumen to drive growth, we want to hear from you.
