Are you looking to apply your bookkeeping skills to a new challenge? Our client is a small, friendly, Bristol-based business, and we are excited to be supporting their recruitment of a Bookkeeper. This role is key in supporting their finance function and requires someone with previous experience in a similar role to hit the ground running.
Daily duties to include:
- Processing incoming supplier invoices onto Sage, applying CIS deductions if needed
- Completing bank reconciliations and company credit card reconciliations
- Managing the payment of supplier invoices including requesting documentation
- Chasing outstanding customer invoices as necessary
- Completing and filing the annual submission to Companies House
- Preparing and submitting monthly CIS return and quarterly VAT returns
- Processing weekly subcontractor payments through external payroll provider
- Processing employee timesheets and maintaining accurate absence records
- Running monthly payroll including pension contributions and reporting
Due to the nature of this role, previous experience in a similar position along with a relevant finance qualification is required. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills. Experience working with Sage is also ideal.
