SEN Teacher – Pear Tree High School

This is a permanent, full‑time role on teaching terms, offering an MPS‑UPS salary plus an SEN allowance, to start September 2026. Pear Tree High School is a purpose‑built SEND school in Cheadle Hulme, dedicated to providing an outstanding education for students with significant learning needs. The curriculum is tailored to support pupils from Key Stage 3 through to post‑16, with a focus on academic, social and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the progress, wellbeing and engagement of all students.
  • Deliver personalised, high‑quality lessons that meet the learning needs of all pupils.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school policy.
  • Participate in interventions to raise student achievement and attainment.
  • Support and contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies to support students’ learning and development.
  • Act as a role model in professional practice, demonstrating high standards of teaching, behaviour management and safeguarding.
